Medical Aid Funds (Reg 29)

Catering specifically to medical scheme investments, this product seeks to provide consistent income and capital appreciation over the medium to long-term by investing in a diverse spread of suitable asset classes.

The maximum equity exposure is capped at 40% and the product may also allocate up to 20% in offshore fixed income instruments.

The product’s volatility levels reflect a moderate risk profile (consistent with 25%-40% equity exposure), with high levels of income considerations. The product is managed in line with the guidelines of Regulation 29 of the Medical Schemes Act.
